Regarding PA usage

Hi team,

Want to consult you on PA usage, my customer wants to achieve +16dBm PA, so if he has our 840 in +8dBm TX power, only needs +8dB for the PA or we would recommend 0dBm in BLE TX power and set +16dB for the PA? Is it depends on different PA setting or it has a general guideline on the final TX power calculation?

Hi Leon,

There are lower harmonics at 0dBm on the radio, so my recommendation would be to go dfor 0dBm output and add a +16dBm PA. Anyways the solution needs to adjusted and tuned for the customer, so I recommend to look for PA with +10-20 dBm range or similar.
