Peripheral Mode Connection and Broadcast

I just discovered that the s110 SoftDevice does not support a peripheral connection and non-connection based broadcast. This is one of the primary specifications for my application.

Is there a way to find out if this support is planned for some future version of the SoftDevice? If not, other than using offerings from other vendors (I really like the packaging for the nRF51822), will it be smart to implement the stack myself for nRF51822?

If anyone has gone the route implementing their own BLE SoftDevice kindly let me know.

Implementing a custom BLE softdevice is not a trivial task, but should be doable if you want to. It will however take quite a lot of effort.
