Backward compatibility of Bluetooth 5

Question

So I'm trying to implement the above scenario. My requirements are, 
 1. Peripheral should be discoverable by Bt.5+ centrals from a long range over long range features. 
 2. Peripheral should be discoverable by Bt.4+ legacy centrals in the legacy way. 
 
 1.Is it possible to support both these simultaneously? 
 2.If so what should be the mode of advertising?

 So if you need to do both 1M PHY advertising and Coded-PHY advertising at the "same time", you need to do the interleaving in the application yourself(stop advertiser, re-configure the advertiser to the new mode, start advertiser again, advertise x seconds, repeat).
