Can't enter buttonless dfu app with sample

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem with dfu example. I would like to test my board with the buttonless dfu image, namely

sd_s132_bootloader_buttonless_with_setting_page_dfu_secure_ble_debug_without_bonds.hex

However, after flashing, I couldn't see any advertisement from the device.

From the JLink Debugger, I can see that the device successfully ran the bootloader. However, it can not start the ble_app_buttonless_dfu application.

Currently, I am using:

1. nRF SDK 15.3

2. HW: iTracker RAK8212, the board has both crystals: 32MHz and 32 Khz.

Could you please help me? Thank you.

I would like to update the case a bit more. If I flash only the bootloader + softdevice without the application, it will start advertising since there is no valid app. However, whenever I flash the buttonless ble app, the problem above occurs.

Hi, 

You might need to Generating bootloader settings and use mergehex (part of the nRF5x Command Line Tools) to merge the bootloader HEX file and the bootloader settings HEX file. Then, program the HEX file. See Programming the bootloader.
