Updating Bootloader in SDK 17.0.2 for NRF52810 not working

I have developed an APP using SDK 15 (both BL and APP)  updating Bootloader and APP which is working fine.

I have developed same app using SDK 17.0.2 (both BL and APP)

APP updating using DFU OTA and gets started but where as bootloader getting updated but

application is not getting started after that. how to debug this ?

I didn't changed anything related to BL except for the Board related files.

I am not updating SD. Only updating BL.

The above question asked was completely different.

I have mentioned same developed in SDK 15 and BL updating  is working fine.

But I assume the new app and bootloader based on SDK 17 is using the new Softdevice API? That means you have to update the SD+BL in one go followed by the new application to keep API compatibility at each step of the update.

Hi, 

I am not updating BL developed in SDK 15. I am updating only BL. 

I have flashed SD + APP + BL developed in SDK 17. And tring to update only BL developed in SDK 17.

The same has done with SDK 15 which is working (mentioned to convey procedure that I am following is correct)

Sorry, I misread the question then, I thought you were attempting to upgrade from SDK 15 to SDK 17 through DFU. Thanks for clarifying.

application is not getting started after that. how to debug this ?

First thing I would check is if the device falls back to DFU mode or not (i.e. see if it advertises or not). Next you may try to start a debug session with the bootloader or application project to try figure out if execution gets stuck somewhere or if it's simply entering an endless boot loop.

It is falling back in dfu mode.

This is happening only when updating BL. 

When I updated APP, it worked fine.

The bootloader will erase the existing application to make room for the update image (single bank) if there's not enough free flash to perform a dual bank update.
