I using MacBook

When I use nRF Connect desktop open Toolchain Manager

It shows the nRF Connect SDK v1.5.1 I downloaded

I click "Open IDE" and want to create a project

At this time, two problems occurred

1、The version of SES I downloaded is 5.44, why the opened version is 5.34a

2、Why does "cannot create project" happen

Hello Tony,

Since the Toolchain Manager only has official support on Windows, I recommend you to install the nRF Connect SDK manually on your MacBook. Please remove your current installation completely and follow this guide.
