Cannot flash dongle

Hi,

I am trying Zephyr for 52840 dongle. I am able to west build, but could not west flash.

While I do west flash, I get

-- west flash: rebuilding
ninja: no work to do.
-- west flash: using runner nrfjprog

FATAL ERROR: "nrfjprog --ids" did not find a board; is the board connected?

I have the dongle connected and is listed in 'lsusb' command.

Hi,

You cannot flash the dongle using west flash, as you would with development kits, because the dongle does not have an on-board debugger. If you have an external debug probe, then you can program it with west flash as described here. If not, you must the built-in bootloader, and use either nrfutil or the nRF Connect Programmer application to program it. For the Programmer application, please see this guide.
