Know the FCC Tx (Transmitting Power) Power Limit in dBm for Outdoor using nRF52840

Hi,

We are Manufacturer of LED Lighting Products. We are developing Outdoor rated Products using nRF52840 with External Antenna Module.

Now we want to know that FCC TX (Transmitting Power) Limit in dBm for Outdoor rated.

Currently we are using products with nRF52832 with PCB antenna and has FCC TX (Transmitting Power) Limit max -20dBm.

Please let us know the Outdoor Limit for nRF52840.

Hi,

Hi, the output power for BLE can be max +20dBm, but with devices only to +8dBm (with nRF52840), if you want to achieve more than that you can add a FEM on the radio output (for example the nRF21). There are also certification limits for 2nd, 3rd and 5th harmonics output to -41dBm.
