Hi,
I understand 'nRF Sniffer for 802.15.4' is typically used with nRF52840 DK or nRF52840 Dongle.
Would it be possible to use it with nRF52833-DK instead? If so, any limitations in its capabilities?
Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
The firmware was never built or tested with nRF52833, so flashing the existing one to nRF52833 will most likely not work anyways.
There are some differences between nRF52833 and nRF52840, for example the number of buffers in nRF52833 RAM capacity are lower than in nRF52840, and the radio driver that the firmware was built upon may not have had support for nRF52833 at the moment.
I will give your feedback to our developers to see if support for nRF52833 is something that can be incorporated in the roadmap, but for the time being please follow the instructions in the documentation for the sniffer firmware and flash it to either the nRF52840 dongle or the nRF52840 DK, the dongle being the cheapest hw option.
Best regards,
Marjeris

Hi,
I found nRF52833 hex file available on nRF Sniffer v4.1.0, I tried but Wireshark could only get advertise packets and can't switch to get the specific device following packets, could I know if nRF52833 is still not supported for nRF Sniffer?
Thanks
