Installation isses with nRF connect SDK

Hi, 

I am looking for the solution to the following problem while installing the nRFconnect SDK. 

$ west init -m github.com/.../sdk-nrf --mr v1.5.1

FATAL ERROR: already initialized in /home/ujjval, aborting.

Actully, If I run the above command anywhere in my ubuntu system it gives me the error.

Thanks for your reply. One should know the difference between --user and -U.

Seems I had an old west version. But the following command did not update it instead. 

pip3 install --user west

The command 

pip install -U west

worked.
