reciveng data on UAR then broadcasting on Mesh

Good day i am new to Nordics platform and SDK also new to segger embedded studio 

i am required to develop a solution that receives data on the UART of the NRF52840(client)  which it needs to broadcast via Mesh to the server which it will then write to UART again

i have been attempting to make use of the SDK to receive the data via UART but am only able to receive one character instead a series of characters or a string 

please assist with the functions that need to be used. I have looked at the SDK examples but have had no luck as yet

Could you let me know which SDK version you are using?

Also, which example have you been looking at in the SDK?

The ble_app_uart example in nRF5 SDK v17.0.2 shows quite well how to send and receive bytes over the UART, by using the app_uart_fifo.c driver.  This example doesn't implement Bluetooth mesh unfortunately, so you would need to implement something similar on top of one of the mesh examples.

I am using V17.0.2

i used the peripheral UART example initially i have only now looked at the app_uart_fifo.c library 

i have noticed a comon trend with system events that are being used to trigger functions 

is there documentation and examples available to help me understand how to set these events and process them

Have you had a look at the SDK documentation here?

In it you will find documentation for the various examples and libraries available in the SDK. 

To understand the app_uart events you can have a look at the documentation for the ble_app_uart example, which mentions the various events used by the app_uart driver.

so i have successfully been able to receive a string on the Uart and save it in a custom buffer that i have created 

now I am struggling with broadcasting this over the Bluetooth mesh 

what are steps i need to take to broadcast this string over mesh to the server

Are you still having problems with this?

Which mesh model are you currently using, and do you already send some other data over the mesh (not from the UART)?
