BLE custom service/characteristic with advertising manufacturer data

Hello,

In template example from SDK 15.0.0  i have created advertisable manufacturer data using this link

https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/short-range-guides/b/bluetooth-low-energy/posts/how-to-update-advertising-data-dynamically-using-ble-advertising-library

and

In template example from SDK 15.0.0  i have created service and characteristics using this link

https://github.com/NordicPlayground/nRF5x-custom-ble-service-tutorial

so both separately working fine..!!

but in my project i have requirement of connectable service/characteristic, and advertisable  data together

Problem is while merging both code together service/characteristics working well but  not advertising data

i am filed to identify the problem, please give me the solution

here is my main code

  • Hi,

Is there any reason you are using v15.0.0 of the SDK? The function ble_advertising_advdata_update was added in v15.2.0, so it should not even be in v15.0.0. Did you implement the function yourself, in order to be able to use it?

The project attached at the bottom of your first link, the "How to update advertising data dynamically using BLE Advertising library" guide, is based on nRF5 SDK v17.0.2. This might not be compatible with a project created in v15.0.0. I would recommend migrating your project to SDK v17.0.2 if you are able to. If not, you should make sure you are not using things from the advertisement example that are not compatible with v15.0.0.

    Best regards,

    Marte

  • Hello,

    thanks for the reply
I used those example as reference...i wrote my own code

so both task i did with 15.0.0 sdk
