Project and board name not saved when re-cmaking project in emStudio

Hi,

I recently updated to version 1.5.1 of the SDK, which includes a new version of emStudio. All seems generally OK, and so far all of the real issues I've found have been my own.

The one issue I've found with the new version of emStudio is when I open an nRF Connect SDK project, the selections for Projects and Board Name aren't retained like they were in the previous version (SDK 1.3.0), and are reset to "peripheral_lbs" and none each time. It's hardly a show stopper, but it is pretty annoying, especially when I'm trying to debug a cmake or prj.conf file.

Am I doing something wrong, or did I miss a change in the way this works? I've looked through the forums and can't see anyone else complaining, so I'm guessing I have a setting wrong somewhere.

Hey Chris!

No, it's not just you. I have seen other complaints about this, but unfortunately I don't think it is possible in the latest versions of NCS.

It is a known feature request though, so hopefully it will return in newer releases.

Thanks for the quick response. It is a pretty annoying step backwards, but at least now I can stop trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.
