Removing Service Change characteristic

Hi Team,

could you please help us how to remove service change characteristic?

Also please share us how to SET PHY as a constant "BLE_GAP_PHY_1MBPS" ?

please suggest us how to avoid MTU update request from peripheral  ?("nrf_ble_gatt: Requesting to update ATT MTU to 247 bytes on connection".)

Hi. 

Could you share which version of the SDK and which device you are working with?

For the Service change characteristic, I think you only need to enable/disable NRF_SDH_BLE_SERVICE_CHANGED.

Hi,

we are using SDK16 and softdevice S140 7.0.1(nrf52840).

can it be possible to remove 1801 service itself ?

Hi. 

The Generic Attribute service (UUID 0x1801) is mandatory.
The service change characteristic is optional.

Hi,

we have an observation with Nordic SOC's compared to other SDK's,

overall Connection time is more between peripheral(Device) and central(Mobile app).

When we look at the log  the Discovery is taking more time from mobile for Nordic SOC's.

Do we have any configuration options enable/disable available ? for Generic Attribute service (UUID 0x1801) with latest SDK's.

Do we have any further optimization techniques/recommendations for lesser discovery time for mobile apps ?

1) we have already removed service change characteristic .

2) connection parameters already configured as low.
