About the future of TF-M with Zephyr

Hi !

This is more of a question than an issue. I am curious about the future of TF-M and its implementation on Zephyr. Does anyone know what are the plans on Zephy's or Nordic's side regarding the using of TF-M? Will it eventually replace SPM and will the libraries be updated to support it? I'm thinking for example about the FOTA or DFU Target libraries.

Also, speaking about FOTA, is there any useful implementation for FOTA updates using TF-M with Zephyr ?

 Yes, it will replace SPM in the future.

 You can try following this blog post.  It should be possible in theory, but you can try to run it and see if there are any issues.

So, from my understanding, Nordic will slowly transition from SPM to TF-M. Is the transition going to be transparent (to the best of what's possible of course) regarding the libraries that already implement SPM by defaults like the FOTA library for example?

 Yes, you can follow everything on the TF-M repo on github. For more information you should contact the RSM.
