You can can configure the replay protection cache behavior using these three defines:

MESH_CONFIG_STRATEGY_ON_POWER_DOWN

MESH_CONFIG_STRATEGY_CONTINUOUS

MESH_CONFIG_STRATEGY_NON_PERSISTENT
