Flashing NRF9160 modem firmware without nrfjprog

Hi,

Currently I am experiencing some issues regarding flashing the modem firmware on the NRF9160. My end goal is to automate the process of flashing both modem firmware and application software using a Raspberry Pi. I wanted to do this with the python libary pynrfjprog, but since there are no nrfjprog builds for ARM (as discussed here), this won't work.

However, I am able to flash application hex files using a Segger J-Link connected to a Raspberry Pi, but to my understanding flashing modem firmware can only be done using nrfjprog. Is it possible to flash modem firmware on the NRF9160 without nrfjprog or am I better off buying a x86 based device such as the Rock Pi so I can use nrfjprog?

Hello,

a similar question has been asked before, and in that ticket the suggestion was to use AWS FOTA or asset tracker. There is also the SMP sample or HTTP update sample for full modem DFU.
