DFU without nRF Connect/pc-ble-driver

I need to do batch DFU updates, and the pc-ble-driver/nRF Connect Firmware combo is too unreliable for my needs. I would prefer to just use the wireless transciever built into my laptop.

Does Nordic have a tool for this? If not, is there documentation on how the DFU service works, so that I can implement it myself?

Hi Evan, 

We currently don't have an example code for doing DFU from the native BLE interface on PC. We do have example code for doing DFU from mobile phone both iOS and Android that you may refer to. 
Other than that you may need to study the DFU interface and write your own code. 
I haven't written the BLE DFU master code but I did make a DFU master code for SPI. You can have a look here. Hope that helps.
