NCS toolchain manager version conflicts (windows)

I installed Nrf Connect App for Windows. I was OK initially. Then I saw there're updates available so I let it update itself. Now it has a version conflict. When I try to open the Toolchain Manager it says it only works with 3.7 but not 3.6.1. Obviously I can download 3.7 separately and reinstall everything. But I though the automatic updates should take care of that.

Is manual install generally more preferred? Can I simply uninstall the NCS and switch to manual install?

Hi,

I'll report to our developers that the automatic updates doesn't work.

In the meantime, you can download the newest version from our website. It is not necessary to uninstall the old version first.
