nRF9160 doesn't boot when 3v is selected for GPIO

Hi,

I need to switch DK to 3v as my custom board has 3v.

When I switch VDD_IO to 3v board doesn't start at all. LED5 blinks for a moment but nothing happens.

Switching back to 1.8v helps, but I need 3v to program my custom board.

It seems that I have an old version of DK, is this a known issue?

Also thought, that maybe that metal bolt shorts resistor, but it wasn't a cause.

I didn't do much with DK except SB44, which I cut to measure current.

Which DK version is this? Looks like one of the early prototype versions. It might not work properly, but if you figure out the version I can check. Thanks

I have a 0.8.2 and a 0.8.5 on my desk. Tried both, and the LED turns off when I switch to 3V, but after a power cycle it's working again. The safest is probably to unplug the USB, switch to 3V, then plug it back in.

Tried that with no luck, my board may have some issues.

I will order a new one anyway.

How can I make sure that retailer sells the latest version?

I use Mouser as a supplier.

Same question as for nRF9160 chip itself, how can I make sure that they sell the latest revisions.
