Is it possible to use LE coded broadcast on ncs to customize settings S=2 or S=8 ?

Hi, All,

I saw the options for S2 and S8 in conn.h of ncs, but i don't know how to use it.

And I want to test the relevant data and differences between S=2 and S=8 broadcasting.

So I have some questions:

1. Is it possible to use LE coded broadcast on ncs to customize settings S=2 or S=8 ? If possible, how to achieve it ? Can you provide an example ?

2. Or currently only S=8 is supported, and LE coded is set to S=8 by default, then when can S=2 be supported ?

3. I see that the description information above is about connection, Does it mean that it only can be set after connecting ?

Due to the summer vacation period we are currently understaffed, so delayed replies must be expected. I am sorry about any inconvenience this might cause.

If you use I.E. the HR_Coded examples in NCS, the simplest way to implement S=2 would be to do it as part of a connection PHY parameter by calling bt_conn_le_phy_update(). See https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-zephyr/blob/master/include/bluetooth/conn.h#L427. The preferred coding scheme is part of the PHY options: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-zephyr/blob/master/include/bluetooth/conn.h#L90 

Please note that our SoftDevice used in our nRF5 SDK does not support S=2, and that you'll have to use the nRF Connect SDK to support the S=2 Coded PHY.
