Is it safe to use a newer softdevice than the one shipped with the SDK?

While migrating to the latest nRF5 SDK (17.0.2) and nRF for Mesh SDK (5.0.0), I've noticed that they ship with Softdevice 7.2.0.

The latest s132 Softevice available for download is 7.3.0. Is it safe to use Softdevice 7.3.0 with those SDK versions? Or is it recommended to stick with the older 7.2.0 version - the one that is bundled with the nRF SDK?

Hi,

There is no problem to use the latest S132v7.x with the nRF5 SDKv17.x no. Just make sure to update the S132 header files before compling and programming the application with the updated softdevice.
