NRF52833 Identify WIN OS and MAC OS problems

Dear Nordic Engineers

        Our customer now wants to develop a keyboard with NRF52833, so there are some questions to ask the engineers of NORDIC.

       1、They want to be compatible with WIN OS and MAC OS, but because some keyboard shortcuts on the two operating systems are different, so a switch is needed on the keyboard to switch manually Different OS. Is there any way that NRF52833 can automatically recognize the connected operating system after the PC is connected to the BLE keyboard, so that the keyboard can automatically switch to the OS?

       2、The customer uses P0.00 and P0.01 as input/output. The customer's program needs to switch the input and output modes at a high frequency. How long does it take to switch between the two modes each time?

      3、When customers use the latest MAC OS V11.4, the OS cannot recognize the BLE device. What is the reason? What is the solution?

    Hi

    Due to the summer vacation period we are currently understaffed, so delayed replies must be expected. I am sorry about any inconvenience this might cause.

    1. I think the device should be able to ask for a connection ID of sorts to determine what device (and OS) it is connected to, and from there do a switch to be compatible with two OS's. Are they planning on being able to connect over USB or BLE, or both? 

    2. I'm afraid I'm not sure I understand this question entirelly. What input/output "modes" are these GPIOs going to switch between? Either way, I'd imagine what you're looking for is stated in the GPIO section of our product specification.

    3. Is the device configured to advertise as a HID device? If not, the MAC OS might have trouble finding it, as Apple OS'es are rather strict in what advertising devices they allow to detect and scan for. It also might be insufficient encryption in the connection. Can you elaborate on what happens when they try to connect to the BLE device?
