Is there any provision in nRF Connect v3.7.0 tool UI to perform uplink data transfer test scenario on Nordic nRF9160 DK ?

Hi,

Is there any provision in nRF Connect v3.7.0 tool UI to perform uplink data transfer test scenario on Nordic nRF9160 DK ?

Please let me know if there is any alternative to test the uplink data test scenario on Nordic nRF9160 DK .

Note: I am able to test downlink data transfer test using iPerf server from network side.

Bhaskar

  • You can find how to install and use the nRF Connect SDK here: NCS Getting started

But, if you just want to test the modem shell application, you can program the mosh.hex file I provided in my previous reply by following the instructions here.

  • Hi Didrik,

Thank you for the information provided.

I have tried(write and read) with the "1222.mosh.hex" file via nRF cloud application. But, still I am not able to see the shell application or shell command prompt.

Can you please help me to enable the shell application option for  nRF9160 DK.

  • The hex file works fine for me.

Could you explain how you programmed it to the DK?

  • Hi Didrik,
    I have followed below procedure.

    1. I have installed the "nRF Connect v3.7.0" on windows machine.
    2. Downloaded "nrf9160dk_fw_2020-04-29_bc7ade8b" file and installed the "mfwnrf9160120" and "nrf9160dk_at_client_2020-04-29_bc7ade8b.hex" using Programmer in nRF Connect v3.7.0 UI.
    3. In LTE Link Monitor, Modem was responding for the AT commands without any issue.
    4. In nRF Connect v3.7.0 UI, clicked the "Erase all" option.
    5. Downloaded the "1222.mosh.hex" file(this is provided by you).
    6. In nRF Connect v3.7.0 UI, in Programmer section, Drag and drop the HEX file into the File Memory Layout section.
    7. Click Erase & write in the Device pane to program the device.
    8. In LTE Link Monitor, observed that shell application or shell command prompt is not observed.
Note: Still able to see At command terminal only. But, Modem is not responding for the AT commands as well.
