USB Full speed communication with Windows

Hi,

I want Windows PC to communicate with nRF52840 dongle over USB full speed.

Are there sample of Windows software(likes API) and nRF52840 dongle ?

I want to realize that nRF52840 receive data over BLE in maximum throughput( ~ 1.4Mbps) and Windows PC receive it over USB.

There are many sample using UART. But if I use it, I can't get maximum throughput rate.

Hi

Due to the summer vacation period we are currently understaffed, so delayed replies must be expected. I am sorry about any inconvenience this might cause.

We have a few cases covering the maximum throughput over USB already. This one seems to be most relevant, where my colleague Vidar has uploaded a modified version of our Throughput example using the CLI USB backend. 

We've tested the USB MSC examples (that are writing zeroes to a RAM disk from a Linux host) to be able to write at speeds up to 4Mbps, so 1.4Mbps should not be problematic to reach using USB.

Dose nRF52840 dongle use the CLI USB backend when it communicate with "Bluetooth Low Energy" in nRF Connect for Desktop ?

In the above, you said that if I use nRF Connect and nRF52840 dongle as BLE master I will not get maximum throughput.

But  if nRF Connect and nRF52840 dongle use CLI USB backend, should it be possible ?

Hi

The nRFConnect for Desktop uses the SDC BLE connectivity firmware and the pc ble driver to communicate with the nRFConnect for Desktop. This thread already discuss and explain this thoroughly.

It's up to you what app you use to handle the data received on the computer from the Dongle.
