Why the device name is showing only 4 characters ?

In my iphone bluetooth settings the device is showing its full name but in the nordicconnect app the device is showing only first four characters.

Hi,

I suspect you are only advertising the first 4 characters(?) and that the iPhone has connected and read the full name. If it has, it will show the full name also subsequently without being connected, as it has been cashed. But if you view only the advertising data you will only see the part of the name that is being advertised.
