LED does not come anymore & device no longer recognized

Dear Nordic Team,

After updating the modem firmware to the latest available (mfw_nrf9160_1.3.0), my device LED does not come up anymore. Additionally, I can longer see my device on nrF Cloud (and I still get a warning about FOTA_V1 vs FOTA_V2) I thought updating the firmware will address this. 

Please advise, thank you for your time.

Hello, John!

The contents of the flash memory are deleted when the modem firmware is programmed, and applications must be programmed again. This is mentioned under the modem programming documentation. Could you try programming the device with the asset tracker firmware, or your desired application, again and see it it works?

Hello Carl,

I got my LED light back, thanks for you, however nrF Cloud still does not recongize my device is updated.

I loaded the following: 

1st - Loaded img_fota_dfu_hex/thingy91_asset_tracker_v2_nbiot_2021-06-28_7a076c22.hex

2nd - Loaded img_fota_dfu_hex/thingy91_asset_tracker_v2_ltem_2021-06-28_7a076c22.hex

after loading each respectively, the LED returned, however, the device was not noticed by the nrfcloud. It still said I was on FOTA_V1 and couldn't detect my Sim/device. It is important to note that before the FOTA_V2 update, I was able to see data coming from my thingy91 in nrF cloud

Hello again, John!

Good to hear that the LED light is back. You should choose nbiot or ltem depending on what your network provides, but it should work for one of them at least!

Are you loading the images over USB (with MCUBoot mode) or using a debug probe?
