Direct test mode for zigbee

Hi, I was wondering is there anything similar to DTM but suited for ZigBee certification?
I read, that nrf_802154 driver could serve as a starting point for this implementation.
Can you provide some guide on how to integrate this driver with the empty zephyr (ncs) project?

Hi

You have a few options here.

Most similar to the DTM I guess would be the Thread protocol's Diag mode. Since both protocols are using 802.15.4 this works fine for Zigbee as well and can be used to set up the radio in various modes for testing. Note that we don't have something like this in the NCS

You can also measure transmit power and receive sensitivity on the radio peripheral itself, as this is not based on the protocol used. You can use the radio test example in NCS for this purpose.

Finally, we have the Benchmark Application example in the nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee that can be used to test protocol related things like throughput, packet error rate, latency, and CPU utilization in various scenarios.
