Best NRF Connect SDK sample for Central and multi peripherals

I will be using an NRF5340-DK for starters.  I have a Linux SBC that will be running blueZ.  I can use USB, UART, or SPI to connect the NRF5340-DK to the Linux SBC.  I am assuming USB is the way to go?  I would like to have as many peripherals as possible connected to the Central device (NRF5340-DK and Linux SBC combo).  The sample found here https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/tree/main/samples/bluetooth/central_multilink mentions as many as 62 devices.  Can you please direct me to the best sample to use as a starter for my project?  Thanks very much.

I am looking in the sample.yaml file for the linked project and it calls out support for the NRF52840-DK but not for the NRF5340-DK.  I do have at my disposal the NRF52840-DK as well if thats what it takes.

I think that example should work for nRF5340DK which needs a corresponding HCI RPMsg sample. See Building and programming a sample

You also can take a look at this example:  https://github.com/NordicMatt/multi-NUS, but it's for NCS 1.4.0.

This is a good example you have pointed me to.  I am curios about the 20 connection limit on the soft device versus the claim in the Zephyr example that they can do 62 connections.  It seems the conservative route is to use the battle tested NRF soft device, but it does limit me to 20 connections.  Are there any plans to extend beyond 20 connections with the soft device?
