nRF52-DK Getting Started Trouble

I am following the Getting Started directions here:
https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/nrf52-dk/getting-started#infotabs

Steps 6 and 7 do not work.  There are no further instructions on what to do.

Step 6: No drive letter appears.  This is the most recent version Win10.  Disconnecting and reconnecting makes no difference

Step 7: The phone never prompts me to open a URL.  A list of nearby devices came up, but nothing sounded close to nRF52DK.  What name should it be?

Parents
  • I just tried the other USB ports, and I tried with a different cable.  Step 6 still does not show a drive letter.  The firmware runs fine.  I can press the buttons to move the blinking light around.

For Step 7, since the phone never prompts me to open a URL, I tried to pair them together.  The list of available devices to pair with does not have a reasonable name.  What name should I be looking for?

Have you downloaded nRF Command Line tools yet? If not, please do that. Then plug in the board and run "nrfjprog -i" from the command line, and let me know the output.

Are you still talking about NFC?

You might have to move the phone close enough for them to touch. Have you tried NFC with your phone before? What phone are you using?

    Best regards,
