Building Bluetooth mesh application with Nordic thingy 91

Hi, Can someone please guide me on the best approach to getting started with Bluetooth mesh application with Nordic thingy 91 (nrf52840). I have try to build the sample code provided in nRF5_SDK_for_MEsh (Bluetooth_light and Bluetooth_light_switch). None seems to be working and reading through there documentation Nordic Thingy 91 was listed as one of the supported board (nRF9160_nRf52840). am I doing something wrong or you cant use the SDK with Nordic thingy 91 yet?

Hi, 

Thingy 91 is not supported by nRF5_SDK_for_Mesh. See the Supported devices. 

You might build NCS Bluetooth_light and Bluetooth_light_switch for thingy91_nrf52840, but we have not verified that. I would suggest you use nRF52840 DK for the development.

Please, can you provide any link to how I can get started with using the Bluetooth features (nrf52840) on Nordic thingy 91. I already purchase the device for my project. If the mesh isn't verified yet, i will like to do basic test of peripheral or Bluetooth test with the device.
