Can we select the BLE link layer version before connection?

Hi,

We are evaluating the nRF52840 dongle. We need to dictate, have a conditional connect feature based on the BLE version. We should specify that use the BLE version 4 or BLE version 5 for connection and communication based on our other requirements.

Do we have APIs in pc-ble-driver or any other supported drivers to fulfill the above requirement?

That is not possible, though I don't see the need for it either, since BLE 5 is backwards compatible with BLE 4.
