How to start with development of a Thread network?

I bought the nRF52840 DK and want to start developing my first application. However, I am very overwhelmed by the documentation here infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp
This documentation seems somehow not complete for me.
For example, how do you create a thread network? What are the relevant functions and libraries for it?

Hi,

Yes, you are probably right the documentation is a bit overwhelming if you are new to thread. I think maybe what you are after is in the openthread documentation. see: https://openthread.io/guides/thread-primer

This gives a better background for understanding the SDK documentation. Also, if you are just getting started with Thread I would recommend that you take a look at NCS instead of the nRF5 SDK, as all future updates will be coming in NCS, see:
