nRF52840 power-supply configuration discrepancy?

Hello,

I'm evaluating the nRF52840 before incorporating it in my MSc. project and would like some clarification on power supply configurations, detailed in PSv1.5 p. 589. 

General guidance (see picture) tells that

• NFC can be used in any configuration
• USB can be used in any configuration as long as VBUS is supplied by the USB host.

If this is the case, then

• why does USB list as disabled in Config.6?
• why does NFC list as disabled for all configurations but Config. 5?

Hello,

USB is listed as disabled in Config. 6  to show a configuration without the USB functionality, for designs where it is not needed. This can be applied to the other configurations if USB is not needed.

The same logic applies for NFC, it can be used in all configurations but only Config. 5 show the circuitry needed for NFC.
