nRF Command Line Tools 10.14.0 breaks nrfjprog on M1 Macs

Hello,

I've recently run into an issue with the Command Line Tools. I was using version 10.13.0 up until today, and everything was working fine. When I updated to 10.14.0, nrfjprog suddenly cannot find the jlinkDll, with the error: 

ERROR: [SeggerBackend] - Dll failed to open.

I re-created this on a coworkers M1 MacBook Air. 

re-installing 10.13 fixes the problem for me, so no development has stopped, but it seems like there's something wrong with the 10.14 release and M1s? If not, could you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Happy to provide any additional information you may need.

Have you perhaps installed the J-Link libraries for Intel x86 on your Macbook? If so, you'll need to update these to the Arm M1 version.

It seems the j-Link Arm M1 version bundled with nRF Command Line Tools is still intel version. I re-installed Arm m1 version from segger's site and it works again.

I specifically clicked on the M1 version in the installer. Is the intention that we are supposed to go directly to sagger's site and download their j-link M1 driver as Yanc did?

It seems like the wrong J-Link firmware has been bundled with the M1 installer indeed. I have reported this internally and we'll hopefully fix it soon. In the meantime you'll have to download the M1 version from SEGGER's pages indeed. Thank you for notifying us of this.
