How to Configure (HW and SW) to have the least Power consumption when not transceiving (sleep mode)

Hej!

I am trying to make a circuit / configure my SW for using the nRF5208 to have a small power consumption when not trainsceiving. Basically, I need my setup to have a low as possible current in sleep mode. Currently, my circuit is using around 0.6uA. Is it possible for this value to be even lower?

Setup:

Reference Schematic with external 32MHz Quartz

I was not sure which (HW / SW) is more important for this aspect. Please correct me if i put it in the wrong section or you need more information on the design

Best Wishes.

  • What kind of sleep are we talking about here? If it is system ON mode, then 0.6 uA is good. If it is System OFF, no RAM retention, wake on reset then 0.3 uA is achievable, but this is typically not a very useful sleep mode.

May I ask what type of product this is for? In most products 0.6 uA sleep current would also be very good, and it would typically not contribute much to the average current consumption.
