nRF9160 GNSS Timeout Event

Hi there!

I just switched from the GPS Library to the GNSS API.

The problem is, that we never get the timeout event NRF_MODEM_GNSS_EVT_SLEEP_AFTER_TIMEOUT. Basically the same problem as described here:

GNSS Settings

• fix interval = 0
• fix retry = 120
• everything else are default values

Software Versions

• nRF SDK 1.6.1
• nrfxlib 1.6.1
• Modem FW 1.3.0
• Zephyr 2.6.0

After reading the above mentioned tickets I would have expected the issue was solved with Modem 1.3.0, or did I get it wrong?

Hello Markus, 

I will have look at your case. Do you get any output from you application?

Please note that we have just released nRF Connect SDK (NCS) v1.7.0. In the release notes it states: 

• GPS driver has been deprecated in favor of the GNSS interface.

Can you please test the AGPS sample from the newest version of the SDK, which should use the newest GNSS interface.
