unable to program when powered with coin cell

I am using my custom board , it is usually powered with a dc supply and I can program it easily. My chip is NRF52811.

When powered with a Cr2032 the segger studio says id code not detected.

Is there any documented minimum requirement for input supply during programming ?

Voltage measured at coin cell terminal 'when connected ' was 3.0+ volts, it is a new cell.

  • Measure again when programming.

If a CR2032 is not absolutely fresh from the package, it usually drops too much down when programming via SWD.

Input currrent is a few mA, since programming/debugging disables sleep. That is close to short circuit current on a CR2032.
