DFU: DFU using BLE provision-er

Hi DevZone,

I need help to understand the DFU procedure over the Mesh without any second BLE dongle/BLE serial device to populate the DFU packets.

The ask is how can we populate DFU packets initialized by provisioning application over BLE Mesh.

PS: We intend o update more than 1000 nodes at a time.

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand your question, do you want to know if you can do DFU over mesh without using a serial device(Like in our DFU example)? You want to do DFU over Mesh using a provisioner? 

Do you plan to do DFU via PC or an mobile applicaton?

Hi, 

Yes your understanding is correct. We need to do the DFU transfer using mobile app. 

It can be similar to how we are doing DFU Point to point using BLE GATT.
