External GPS Antennal options for NRF9160

Hi all, I am a little confused by the requirements for the external GPS antennal options. My board is version 1.0.1.

In this page (https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/cellular-iot-guides/b/hardware-design/posts/external-gps-antenna-on-nrf9160-dk), it mentions that I will need a connector and another GPS antenna for the external GPS capabilities. This guide is for version 0.8.2 and earlier. Is this still relevant in 1.0.1? If so, after I got the MXHS83QE3000‎ and the external antenna, is it plug-and-play?

I saw in other discussions that some antenna is for both LTE and GPS. Our goal is to use the board's own LTE antenna (since it works reasonably well) and an external GPS antenna, and be able to easily run the A-GPS sample project. Based on these, which antenna would you recommend for nrf9160 version 1.0.1?

None of the DKs have the same antenna for LTE and GPS, but the Thingy91 have that. https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_thingy91/UG/thingy91/intro/frontpage.html

You can use any active GPS antenna with a U.FL connector on the nRF9160-DK.
