PTR7024 nrf24LE1F16Q24 programmer? ISP?

Links of the modules i am thinking of:

So, i am going to use this module PTR7024, but i want an alternative programmer for this. I cannot make my client to buy a development kit to get a programmer. So i need some cheap DIY stuff. Please suggest any such programmer for this PTR7024.

Secondly, i am also worried, not clear about the 10 pin ISP to the ISP interface nrf24le1 offers. Will the PROG and RESET pin will be handled accordingly or not?

Overall, anybody has experience with such arrangement, or please suggest what programmer should be good for the PTR7024 so selected!

  • @Annim: If you plan to make your own programmer board, you would need to interface with the nRF24LE1 chip with 6 pins: FCSN, FMISO, FMOSI, FSCK, PROG, RESET. The documentation for flashing is available at chapter 6 in the Product Spec.

There should be ready made programmer on the market, as you already mentioned in your question.

Another alternative is to have a bootloader on thenRF24LE1 so that you can update via UART from PC for example. One example for bootloader is the nAN-018. It's about udpate firmware over the air, which may not be your case, but you can modify it to create your own UART bootloader.

  • I have ordered the third party programmer, i will try it with the module, lets see it works or not. I am worried about the inbuilt pull up resistor on RESET pins on module. I will accept this as ans once the arrangement starts working. Bootloader suggestion is good but to put bootloader into SoC , i need one downloader. so i am looking for the working downloader. Lets see once i get the stuff.
