nRF Sniffer for Bluetooth LE Detection issue on Wireshark

Hello,

I've purchased the nRF52840 Dongle: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/nRF52840-Dongle. I've successfully flashed it with the version 4.0.0 of the nRF sniffer firmware: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Sniffer-for-Bluetooth-LE/Download?lang=en#infotabs. 

I've been following this guide here: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fug_sniffer_ble%2FUG%2Fsniffer_ble%2Fintro.html and I'm running into an issue where the nRF sniffer interface isn't showing up on Wireshark.

I have the Wireshark version 3.4.9.

I have succesfully installed the files and requirements for the sniffer in the Personal Extcap folder:

and this is the output of the 

./nrf_sniffer_ble.sh --extcap-interfaces

The interface won't show up on Wireshark:

What am I missing?

I've installed the same version of Wireshark on Windows 10 and followed the same steps and it is now working.

Hi,

Please try to install the PySerial dependency for the "native" python3 interpreter in /usr/bin/ as I suggested in my answer here: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/78703/nrf-sniffer-interface-not-showing-up-in-wireshark-on-macos-11-5-1/327382#327382

We will try to address this installation issue in the upcoming nRF sniffer release.
