nRF Connect SDK Gazell Support

We are starting a new Nordic-based project and are looking through the nRF Connect SDK 1.7.99 documentation (https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/protocols.html).   Gazell is not shown as a supported protocol and don't see anything under proprietary protocols like in the nRF5 SDK.  

Does anyone know the status of Gazell in NCS?

The state is unfortunately unchanged from this previous statement:

Unfortunately, Gazell is not a part of the nRF Connect SDK at this time. I will request this internally as a feature request to NCS.
