Is nrf9160dk power consumption too high

    1、I made the following modifications to the hello_world example（ncs1.7.0\v1.7.0\zephyr\samples\hello_world.

2、I have disabled uart0,But the average power consumption is 6.15mA,I don't know whether the power consumption is normal.This is the power consumption I measured with the source meter mode of ppk2.DK's External supply + to the PPK2 VOUT pin, DK's External supply - to the PPK2 GND pin.

3、By the way, the value measured in the ampere meter mode of ppk2 is different from that measured in the source meter mode，The connection of ppk2 and 9160kd is shown in the figure below，and Sb34 has been cut off.

I'm trying out this example (hello world with serial disabled in secure and non-secure application) but I still get a current consumption of around 800 uA. Do you know what could be the problem?

Are you certain that there is no output on the serial lines?

note that you need to disable SERIAL for both secure and non-secure, as previously stated (ie. in hello_world/prj.conf and hello_world/child_image/spm.conf), and you could try to delete the build folder and re-generate the project.

 

If you still have issues, please create a new thread.
