PPK measurements suddenly stops

Hi,

I am using the ppk II, and I have had a number of occasions where the current displayed on the PC suddenly disappears (see attached). The voltage to the DUT seems to be maintained though because the DUT continuous to function. First I thought that I had moved the USB cable and somehow created a disconnection from the computer, but since the supply to the DUT is maintained that can't be the case. Any suggestions?

A bug similar to what you describe was fixed in Power Profiler v3.1.3.

Try to update to the newest version.
If you experience the same problem again after this, please let us know.

Hi again,

It seems like the problems have returned with nRF Connect for desktop 3.9.0/3.9.1, power profiler 3.2.0? The current trace freeces, and also disappears. I have to turn off the PPK and restart the profiler sw.

Does the issue have the exact same behavior as last time, where it just stops measuring, without any error message?

Do the issue happen consistently every time you try to measure power, or only some times?

Are you running other apps with nRF Connect for Desktop (for example the Programmer app) at the same time as you use the PPK 2?

It seems it happens when I leave the profiler window (running) and go to another program (mail, chrome etc). If I am away for a few minutes and then return to the profiler window the trace seems to have stopped. I wait for a while, and then if I press "stop" and then "start" I don't get the trace back. I have to restart. This happens every time. I also noticed that if I have the profiler running in the background and keep the new window (e.g. browser) not in full window mode, so I still can see the profiler running in the background it is kept alive.
