How do I get NB network signal value in real time after Modem enters PSM?

I have developed a project with 9160, which requires real-time display of NB network signal on the screen. In order to save power consumption, I have set the Mode to PSM Mode. Here I find a problem that when the Modem enters TAU interval, the RSRP returned by the Modem becomes 255, that is, there is no signal.  However, this is a false data, because the modem is disconnected from the base station in PSM mode, and the 255 returned is a false signal. Therefore, how can I get the real network signal value of the current environment in real time?

You can use the +CSCON commando for that. Additionally, %XMODEMSLEEP might be of interest for you.

When the status changes like from idle to Connected, does the modem not report the status change actively ?  This command seems to require the application to query to obtain actively, so it needs to be sent periodically, which will add extra power consumption.
