How to remove the .dts setting of nrf52840dk_nrf52840.dts by the .overlay file

Hi,

I can use .overlay file to change the device tree setting of the nrf52840dk_nrf52840.dts. 

However, my Board only has 1 button so I hope to "remove" 3 of the 4 buttons setting of nrf52840dk_nrf52840.dts by .overlay file, but I can not find how to do.

1, Is it a correct way to do the "remove" by .overlay file?

2, if yes, How?

3, if no, what is the correct way ?    Thanks a lot !

Hi,

The recommended here is to make your own custom board folder, this can be done by follow this guide (bascially copy and rename the DK board folder):

If you don't want to create a custom board folder, then you should create an overlay file, and use the /delete-property/, e.g. /delete-property/ pin_name;
