250K mode ESB of 51822

Hi Nordic,

From some cases in the devzone, I know for nRF52 series, the ESB doesn't support 250Kbps mode.

One of my customer employ nRF51822 in their product, so I want to know:

1、Does nRF51 series support ESB of 250Kbps?

2、For BLE，the long range mode with 125k will support longer range(with the same dBm), if the 51822 support 250Kbps, does it mean 250Kbps will transfer longer range?

1. nRF51 seems to be supporting the 250 Kbps bitrate. See the mode register. I didn't check the ESB library though.

2. Yes, it should give a small range improvement. But that depends on the surroundings. In a straight line outdoors you will probably get a small range improvement. But inside a building there are more "hard" barriers that will stop the signal, so you might not see any difference.
