My objective is to be able to update the application firmware via "Over The Air" based on BLE Mesh Protocol.

I tried to follow the step of "fota-upgrades" to set up the function on sample light_ctrl but it can not work on the BLE mesh protocol.

Is there have some examples? It would be fine to get some assistance. Thank you.

Sadly there is no support for OTA based on Mesh in NCS right now. For more of an extensive reply and explanation, see this response by Terje on the matter.

Is there support for OTA based on Mesh in nRF5 SDK for Mesh v5.0.0? If it is supported, are there any examples?

It is, though it is a proprietary solution that doesn't follow the Bluetooth Spec. For info on it see here, and here.

Using our standard FOTA solution is also always an option.
