Hi,

 

The log shows that the debugger isn't able to communicate with the nRF9160 chip. Are you sure its powered properly?

Are you programming an external device, or the on-board nRF9160 on the nRF9160-DK?

Hi Håkon,

Thanks for the response, I am very new to embedded programming so excuse me for any unclarities.

I am programming on the nRF9160-DK which is powered through USB. LED5 activates when powered, windows and nRF connect software detected the device so it's not a power problem.

The device was flashed with the default asset tracker app but for some reason none of the other LEDs were active which led me to believe there was some deeper problem.

Surprisingly after a few days it started working again, I'm very confused but I guess the issue is resolved.
